German luxury carmaker BMW on Wednesday said it is eyeing double-digit increase in sales in 2010, on the back of the expected growth in the high-end market.
The company, which launched a limited edition of its Gran Turismo priced at Rs 63 lakh, also said it will ramp up dealership network in the country to 22 outlets, from 12 at present.

Europe’s biggest carmaker, Volkswagen, has reported an 80 per cent fall in annual net profits to 960m euros. Operating profits also fell, down 71 per cent from a year earlier to 1.9bn euros, while revenues fell 8 per cent to 105bn euros.
Another German carmaker, BMW, also reported a sharp drop in profits for 2009, with net income down 36 per cent to 210m euros.
