Launched in limited numbers in America in 1982, in 2000 the Camry became the highest selling car in America. Sales of the Camry in America may have peaked in 2006, 448,445 units. The Camry’s future includes a foray into the increasingly popular NASCAR Nextel Cup and America’s most popular car is now also available as a hybrid.
