2010 Renault Megane Sport

New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet completes the renewal of the Mégane family. This now comprises six body types, the successive launches of which have seen Renault rejuvenate its range in the space of just one and a half years in what is Europe's largest volume segment.

Renault Sport Technologies has helped create two new sporting versions of the New Mégane – GT and GT Line. Mégane GT and GT Line, unveiled at the Geneva Motorshow in March, are available across all of the Mégane family (Hatchback, Coupé, Sport Tourer, Coupé-Cabriolet) and go on sale in June.

Trying to outdo its main rivals, Peugeot plans to introduce a sedan version of its 307 four-door hatchback. Well, it is not exactly sedan: it seems that guys at Peugeot's design department have simply added a larger luggage compartment to a normal hatchback, just like it was done with Renault's Clio Symbol model.

The Megane Renaultsport 230 F1 Team R26 was launched in November 2006 and has enjoyed a great success. Using this base, Renaultsport launch an extreme version, the Mégane Renaultsport R26.R

The Megane Coupe Concept previews the production two door thats due in 2009, with a few extra twists thrown in just for fun. Its fluid shape, which points to the future direction of Renault design, is accented by a quirky set of gullwing type doors.

With the launch of Megane Renault Sport dCi at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, Renault completes its range of sporting cars with the addition of a high-performance diesel.
