Here are the first photos of the upcoming 2011 BMW X5 facelift. The 2011 BMW X5 facelift will be officially unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show in March. New set of rear lights were added, as well as corona lights seen on the new 2011 BMW 3-Series as well in 5-Series GT.
Mostly known for its ghetto-style plastic body kits for Bimmers, this time Lumma presents surprisingly neat-looking tuning program for the diesel-powered BMW X5 E70.
To give the BMW X5 luxury SUV a sportier look, the Bavarian car manufacturer launched the first M sport package for their X5 SUV. For those of you who are accustomed to other BMW M Sport packages like the one for the BMW 3-Series for example, this one won’t quite live up to your expectations in terms of exterior appearance.
At first sight the second generation X5 looks like it carries on with the main characteristics from its predecessor. The new model has been developed under the code-name E70.
autobild.de has some artist sketches of the next round of SUVs from the European luxury manufacturers. They're just guesses with liberal use of retouching, but they're worth a look for anyone considering them.
As BMW's U.S. factory here prepares for the production debut of the 2007 X5, engineers from the German automaker are conducting shakedown tests on prototypes \227 under heavy disguise \227 in wintry European climes.
As with any BMW, improvements have made the X3 a moving target since its 2003 introduction. Originally offered in two guises–2.5i and 3.0i–the 6-cylinder X3 has gained in value and equipment since that intro.
The new X5 is an SAV, not an SUV. So says BMW, which insists its off-roader is a Sports Activity rather than Utility Vehicle. This seems like a minor point, but it highlights the fact the German company is targeting a lifestyle audience rather than families alone.
Judging from the pictures, BMW avoided "Bangling" up the X5's design which actually looks much better than the model it replaces -that's a first... Design aside, the most important thing on the E70 X5 is the fact that for the first time, BMW is offering an optional third row of seats (probably suitable for two children) which fold into the floor when not in use.
As a follow up to my earlier post on the BMW X6 M, here are some awesome press release photos of the new BMW X5 M which made it’s runway debut at the New York Auto Show this week!
A Jalopnik reader saw this lightly-camouflaged BMW moving very quickly near the Spartanburg, SC factory. The size and shape is unmistakably X5, but the scalloped doors and flame-surfacing clearly show the new styling.
BMW’s class-leading Sports Activity Vehicle is now available with the world’s most powerful production six-cylinder diesel powerplant. The award-winning twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel engine has been brought to the BMW X5 range to cater for a growing demand for performance SAVs.
While the M Series brand is under criticism for these 2 new models during concepts and market testing, they have been both equally well received at the New York Auto Show. To ensure BMW M DNA in every model, BMW has done the unthinkable - They have made M versions of their X5 SUV and X6 SAC
HARTGE is a major BMW tuner and they show interest in almost all the BMW models. Their latest product is the visual enhancement of the BMW X5 E70.
The HARTGE BMW X5 E70 pack includes:
- 22 inch HARTGE CLASSIC 2 wheel set
- HARTGE carbon outside mirror housing
BMW has made this decision because it really wants to make the upcoming BMW X5 E70 a seven-seater but the SUV itself lacks the room to put the third row of chairs. To get some additional space, BMW's engineers decided to throw away the spare tire and put the vehicle on run-flats.
