First official pictures of the all-new Volvo S60

Volvo is aiming to find aesthetic balance between the opposing images of stout safety and svelte Swedish sport. The next S60's production timeline had been changed due to budgetary constraints but it's all back on track for 2009 release date.

Swedish luxury carmaker Volvo is planning to launch a new luxury sedan in India by 2010. The luxury sedan S60 will be launched in India after the company re-launches the car in the European car market, which will happen sometime during the middle of next year.

Volvo S60 - MY 2008 Launch The Volvo S60 was launched in autumn 2000 as a somewhat smaller sedan than the Volvo S80. The design brief was to create a car with the same basic lines and safety as the S80 model, but in a more compact body and with a sportier profile.
