Testing out their aluminum Audi Space Frame (ASF) technology used on the R8, TT, and A8, Audi applied the lightweight construction method to a prototype A5 coupe. The lightweight A5 is 242 pounds lighter than its steel-bodied brother, which gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 159-hp per ton, only 11 hp per ton shy of the more powerful 3.2-liter V6 A5.
The BMW M6 has got some hefty competition coming its way. Checkout these recently released amazing spy photos of a prototype Audi RS5 undergoing testing at the Nurburgring. While the Audi S5 really just an Audi A5 on steroids, the RS5 is the S5 on steroids.

Some sneaky spy photographers got some great snaps of a prototype Audi RS5 going around the Nurburgring recently. Scion launched the RS 5.0 the release series 5.0 that is, it features gloss black exterior paint and numerous performance products from TRD. TRD edition 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, in matte black with red trim, and red TRD lowering springs provide this tC with its menacing presence.
Audi is busy building this awesome 450bhp RS5 that arrives early next year to take on its new BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 rivals. Like all R models, the top A5 has been fully developed by Quattro.
