Well it’s already that time of the year here in Toronto, Ontario, all the tuners are anxious to switch off their winter tires and replace them with the low profiles and hit the streets to flash their latest modifications.
Back in the late sixties, Joel Rosen and his Motion Performance speed shop was the go to place on the East Coast for serious automotive performance. Joel had partnered with Baldwin Chevrolet on Long Island to build turn-key street racers out of new Camaros, Novas Chevelles and Corvettes. During the years of 1967-74, hundreds of Motion-branded cars were built including this ultra-rare 1 of 1 1972 Moray GT Corvette which is now being offered on eBay.
The GEMBALLA Mirage GT Matt Edition is a stellar exotic that we would be proud to park in our driveway. The guts are still the same as the other models using a modified version of the Porsche Carrera GT's V10 engine rated at 670 hp, making it good for 3.7-second run from 0-to-60 mph and a nut of 208 mph.
670 whp on 93 octane with 200-cell catalytic converters in place, and a super-smooth curve that gives the car a "Jekyll and Hyde" duality of smooth cruising and easy driving around-town, followed up by Veyron-baiting performance when the nanny-controls are off and the pedals hit the metals.

Autoblog had the rare opportunity to visit GM's Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan where they worked along side master engine builder Mike Armstrong to assemble an LS9 engine. The PBC is unique to GM's other engine assembly centers as each engine is assembled by hand from start to finish by a single engine builder as opposed to sending the engine down an assembly line where multiple workers add the same part over and over.
German-based tuner Loma Performance takes the term "wide body" to a whole new realm with its "BlackforceOne" Corvette package. The only thing that falls flat here is the press releases comparison that this Corvette is somehow "reminiscent" of Boeing's Air Force One. Clearly the Corvette is more of stealth fighter than passenger jet with its 783 hp bi-turbo V8 engine and copious carbon fiber body parts.
What would you say about an SLR powered kart? Well, we don't think that would be possible, and even if it did, it would be pure suicide. The members of the SLR Club however
This past weekend's Milemarker-1 event in Miami was supposed to be little more than a fact-finding mission for us. We were going down to log one of our customers' P800 GTR Nissans in extreme heat, and see what we could see. It was a bit last-minute, but we went into the event without expectation ... and came home with back to back runs over 190 mph!
Do you have a brand new stock Nissan GT-R on order, or maybe just took delivery? Then “Garage Defend” might have just what you need…specialized in Nissan Sportscars (and a couple others), this very professional dealer told Nihon Car about their latest “beast” based on the Almighty R35 GTR.
Mines have developed adjustable coil over suspension, a 400mm brake kit, high-flow catalysts and a more freer-flowing titanium exhaust system. This has already seen a 20bhp hike in dyno tests and the firm is busying itself working on the ECU to allow the car to run higher boost levels.
Many thanks to my friend Zach over at Exotics And Luxury who just brought these new Carbon Fiber Wheels by 360 Forged to my attention! They definitely look super awesome and probably cost blue label top shelf dollars. After checking out the brochure, I must conclude that these are not TRUE carbon fiber wheels.
If you consider buying a somewhat exclusive car to stand out from the rest of the crowd, this video might get you thinking twice about that. Of course bad luck also played a major role in the whole story...

The Acura brand has been attempting to radically change its image with consumers by moving up market and by increasing its sportiness quotient to more comfortably be associated with the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus. With the new Acura TL, Acura has intended to standout from the crowd with its bold styling, and has improved performance thanks to a powerful V6 engine and the availability of a six-speed manual transmission.
