We think the current Ford Focus as seen in Australia is still a relatively fresh looking design so it came as a small shock that an update with all new sheet metal and a revised interior is on the way and is expected to make it to UK dealers before the end of this year.
When Ford announced they would be showing the Ford Mondeo wagon concept at the Paris Motor Show most of us were wondering why they weren’t showing the sedan version since it easily outsells the wagon. Well, we didn’t have to wait for very long to see the sedan either. It looks like these spy shots were taken at a photo shoot for the sedan.
This Ford Mondeo sedan has been built to star in the next James Bond movie, Casino Royale (don't you worry, Mr. Bond still drives his deadly Aston Martin there), and maybe that's why the concept looks so good.
The new James Bond, Daniel Craig, is not forsaking his (Ford-owned) Aston Martin, but he will also drive the new Mondeo in Casino Royale.
Ford hand-built a Mondeo earlier this year, so it could have a small part in the film, set in the Bahamas. It sounds like the car will only be on film for a few seconds, but Ford reckons hand-building a prototype is worth the exposure. Sequences from the film will also be used in a pan-European advertising campaign linking James Bond and the new Mondeo.
