There is still nothing quite like a Mazda MX-5. More than 15 years after the landmark arrival of the original Mazda drop-top, the cute little two-seater is still a favourite.
While the world was pre-occupied with the fun and razzmatazz of the Chicago Show last week, Mazda had a small celebration party to mark the production of the 800,000th Roadster.
Called Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe, the new vehicle complements the soft-top model, making the open-top MX-5 more interesting to customers, living in regions with long and cold winters, where it's not really convenient to use a car with a roof made of canvas.
