Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) Ltd has launched the 2010 new Honda Civic.
The new Honda Civic is available in four variants: Civic 1.8V Elegance, Civic 1.8S Elegance, Civic 1.8V Inspire and Civic 1.8S Inspire. These variants are powered by a 1.8L iVTEC engine, which is the most advanced engine technology available in the segment.
The country’s largest passenger car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India, is working on a new engine, which would replace the existing engines of its 800 cc hatchback Alto and 1.1 litre Wagon R. Once the automaker replaces the existing engine of these two high-selling cars, it is expected that it would be in a position to lower their prices significantly, which would help it rev up sales.

Honda India will recall 8,532 City sedans that were sold in 2007 to replace a faulty power window switch. The move is part of a worldwide recall of City and Jazz/Fit cars that were fitted with the same faulty switch which, in certain cases, was catching fire.

Korean car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company said on Thursday that its net profit for the year 2009 rose by 104.5 per cent at 29.615 Trillion Won (Rs 1,18,950.16 Crore) from the previous year.

It has been confirmed that Audi concept car E-Tron has not been damaged in the fire that erupted in the Audi stand at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show on Thursday. The freak fire mishap which happened in the Audi stand saw forceful evacuation of the visitors there. The Auto Show organizers were quick to issue a statement saying that the fire was quickly contained and there were no injuries.
