Taking seven years to build, the 1963 Corvette is a show car, street car and race car all rolled into one fiberglass body. And boy does this Corvette roll. During last summer's Super Chevy show at Summit Motor Sports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, the 2,400 horsepower Sting Ray launched from zero to 60 mph in 1 second and crossed the quarter-mile mark in 6.95 seconds at 210.54 mph.

This may be the first bone-stock Corvette ZR1 to run the quarter mile in the 10's. Corvette Forum's Racerns posted video and the time slip from last Monday's drag run at Maryland International Raceway. Following the bone stock quarter mile runs, the Corvette ZR1 switched to drag radials and the forum's "Ranger" dialed up an even faster run of 10.730 @ 132.46 mph. Late last week, we told you how "The Sitg" of Top Gear fame drove an F1 car inside the ExCeL exhibition centre in Britain. Video has since surfaced online, but unlike most videos, this one may be a bit of a disappointment. That's because the F1 car had trouble planting all its power on the smooth concrete floor.
