Ford is planning to bring 5 new electric model by 2013, among them will be the Electric Ford Focus which will be introduced on the market in 2012. After Electric Ford Focus, the Ford Transmit connect Electric will join in 2011. These 2 will be followed by 2 new hybrid-electric models and a plug-in hybrid electric.

What you see above is independant designer Marouane Bembli’s interpretation of what he calls the Audi R10 – the successor to the R8. In line with Audi concepts of past, the R10 is a futuristic representation of the current R8 supercar. Stretched and widened, more aggressive overall styling, and typical futuristic looking wheels straight out the movie I, Robot.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann told Germany’s Automobilewoche trade paper that Lamborghini (Audi) will be launching a Hybrid Lamborghini Gallardo model by 2015.

Audi’s e-Tron Electric Supercar Concept made a big splash at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and as a result, Audi has plans to move forward with their plans to build electric cars. The first car to be built is a sort of “mini-R8″ roadster supercar to compete with the Tesla Roadster called the R4.
Audi’s electric R8 we reported a few days ago is becoming more of a reality. An Audi microsite just appeared touting that on September 15, 2009, electricity, and all its force and power, will run wild and free and completely untamed.”
Ah, the moment so many greenies have been waiting for: The EV version of the Smart two-seater is starting series production. Soon, you’ll be able to buy a city car fitted with a highly efficient lithium-ion battery and a 30 kW electric motor is fitted at the rear axle. As with all electric motors, it’s got lots of torque and all of it is available form essentially zero RPM. In the case of the electric Smart, that means 120 Newton meters of torque that are immediately available.

From mid November 2009 the new smart fortwo electric drive will roll off the production line at the smart factory in Hambach, France. Unlike its predecessor, the electrically driven smart fortwo of the second generation is fitted with an innovative and highly efficient lithium-ion battery. It is housed in a space-saving position between the axles, which means that space is not compromised in any way in the intelligent two-seater vehicle.
The Lexus LF-Ch Compact Hybrid is an odd little car. Or, to be more exact, it’s odd that Toyota would badge a car like this as a Lexus. The hybrid part makes sense, but making a small hatchback as a Lexus, even if Toyota is calling it a “Premium Compact”, seems to run counter to what Lexus has been marketed as up to this point. A Lexus LF-Ch Premium Compact Hybrid … will Americans go for that?

Volvo has been struggling amid slumping global sales, but that hasn’t stopped the automaker from diving into research and development. One such as product of its R&D efforts is a new plug-in hybrid that will be due by 2012. Volvo has committed itself to producing a high mileage diesel-electric plug-in hybrid, but it has yet to confirm its plans to sell the vehicle in the U.S.

We’ve been publishing any information we got about the new electric Audi e-Tron Concept supercar, and today Audi officially unveiled the car, along with plenty of details. It is, as you can see, based off of the R8, but underneath the body is its own car completely. It produces 313 horsepower, and the electric motors produce an incredible 3,319 lb-ft of torque.
Over the past couple weeks, Audi has been teasing us with viral videos and a website with the theme Electricity Untamed, hinting at a high performance electric car to be debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show. We don’t have many (any, really) details about the new car, but we have plenty of renderings to show you (see gallery below) of the Audi e-Tron Concept.
