German premium carmaker BMW intends to start selling diesel-powered cars in the United States within two years, using a urea-based additive to meet emissions standards, the Financial Times newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The Audi Q7 TDI large crossover with a diesel engine receives yet another tuning program from a reputable tuner. The German B&B company has presented two tuning sets for both current Audi Q7 3.0 TDI and the upcoming Q7 with a more powerful diesel V8 with a displacement of some 4.2 liters.
Automakers are focusing on future powertrains for major reasons. First, consumers are demanding more fuel efficient engines. Secondly, new emissions regulations have placed pressure on automakers to reduce their fleet-wide fuel economy. While some automakers that have truck and SUV heavy lineup are a little more at risk, even Mazda is researching new ways to build fuel efficient gasoline and diesel engines.

The new diesel engine produces 266 hp and 467 ft-lbs of torque. They'll be making 25,000 units per year, but haven't yet said what vehicles it will be going into.

Audi engineers have now officially confirmed the fact that the TT will get an TDI engine. Due to a sticker on the central console with the inscription Achtung diesel-Fzg (Attention diesel version). Now it is clear that Audi will get the 2.0 liter TDI engine delivering 170 bhp from the Passat and the Audi A4 but it could also get the 235 bhp 3.0 liter that is currently used by the new A5 coupe.
