The Infiniti G37 Coupe and G37 Convertible don't shy from tackling the BMW 3-Series on any front-be it equal performance, better looks, or more lavish interiors.
With nearly undisguised sedan prototypes running around, it wouldn\222t be terribly hard to predict what the 2008 Mercedes C-Class Coupe will look like. And that\222s just what Germany\222s AutoBild magazine has done.
Since its debut back in 2007, the Nissan Altima Coupe has proved to be a more practical “poor-man’s G37″ in terms of styling and even performance. This personality continues into 2010 with a few minor changes this year.
First on this list of changes...
The GEMBALLA Mirage GT Matt Edition is a stellar exotic that we would be proud to park in our driveway. The guts are still the same as the other models using a modified version of the Porsche Carrera GT's V10 engine rated at 670 hp, making it good for 3.7-second run from 0-to-60 mph and a nut of 208 mph.
If something doesn't quite look right with this 1963 Corvette Coupe, you get a gold star! That's because this was a prototype for a "four place" Corvette. That's right, a Corvette with back seats! The idea came from Ed Cole who wondered if a four-place Corvette could rival the successful four-seat Thunderbird.
As a tribute to our favorite car/truck coupe-utility ugly-mobile - the Chevy El Camino, a clever Photoshop guru at the Streetfire forums has rendered an El Camaro.
Last week, we covered one artist’s conception of the R8’s replacement, which he called the R10 Concept (seen above.) Today we heard news of rumors flying around about some of the R8 successor’s specs.
The Audi R8 is currently the best reviewed coupe on Motormouths.com, a car review aggregation website, with an overall average of 91. Actually it’s tied with the Nissan GT-R, also an excellent vehicle, but they have the R8 listed as #1.
Of course this doesn’t come as a surprise – the R8 has won multiple awards from all sorts of automotive media...
One of the more popular fundraisers for The National Corvette Museum is their new Corvette raffles. I wanted to make sure to highlight this raffle coming up on Thursday as the entry price is something we can all afford. This 2010 Torch Red Corvette is being offered for just $10/ticket. And this isn't some stripped down base model either. This Corvette features the 3LT package and includes delivery at the museum.
Kia’s new Forte sedan and coupe compacts are a big step forward for the Korean brand. Kia has always been seen as a bargain-basement type brand, with cheap, decent cars that never really stood up to the big players like Toyota and Honda. The Forte, however, launches Kia square into the competition.
German modification company Senner Tuning just unveiled a new appearance package for the Audi A5. The kit, which is their fourth package for the A5, includes a carbon fiber front spoiler, carbon fiber side mirror housings, carbon fiber rear bumper, and rear spoiler. Huge 21-inch alloy wheels along with a new lowered suspension kit give the A5 a sportier stance.
Ever since man began making cars for more than just getting from A to B, two-door coupes have been a sign of automotive enthusiasm and overall sportiness that a four-door sedan simply could not fulfill. A recent wave of sport sedans and four-door coupes have been introduced to the market, but for us sports car enthusiasts, they just aren’t good enough.
Ah yes, the day is finally here. For years now we’ve hearing about the ultimate Lexus supercar, dubbed the LFA. We saw the LF-A concept car at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show, and have been hearing about rumors ever since.
Testing out their aluminum Audi Space Frame (ASF) technology used on the R8, TT, and A8, Audi applied the lightweight construction method to a prototype A5 coupe. The lightweight A5 is 242 pounds lighter than its steel-bodied brother, which gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 159-hp per ton, only 11 hp per ton shy of the more powerful 3.2-liter V6 A5.
Popular Ferrari runer Novitec Rosso, as expected, just got their hands on the new Ferrari California. They’ve applied their usual touches to it, focusing on both style and performance, though the changes to the California are a bit more subtle than their usual “HEY LOOK AT ME!” design style.
In 2003, Nissan revived the Z by releasing the 350Z - an everyday sports car aimed at a much larger market than previous Zs. The 350Z lacked much of what the Z was about. The styling was bland, a properly tuned 300ZX TT could still blow the doors off of it, and it was missing the personality of the old Zs. The 350Z was meant for the regular Joe who said “I want a sports car” - not the enthusiast.
For 2009, this has all changed…
We’ve seen the Audi e-tron electric supercar in red since the Frankfurt Motor Show, but Audi just repainted it orange and brought it to the 2009 LA Auto Show for North America.
This is the Lamborghini Murciélago SV, a more powerful, lightweight, rear-wheel-drive edition planned for launch later this year. The SV, expected to be the last evolution of the Lambo’s range-topper, will be based on the current Lamborhgini Murcielago LP640 Coupe or Lamborhgini Murcielago LP640 Roadster flagship model.
