Late last week we began hearing whispers of a new Corvette-based custom coach from SV Motor Company. We contacted them and sure enough, they confirmed they have two units in the final assembly stage. Although SV will be introducing the 9 Competizione in the coming days, they were more than happy to provide us with an exclusive first look.

Say hello to a 1993 Lister Corvette. Created by Lister North America back in the early nineties, this custom-bodied C4 Corvette was treated to upgrades both inside and out. Under the hood, the Chevy LT1 V8 was stroked to 383 cubic inches and a Vortech supercharger provides plenty of power. On the outside, custom body panels, Fikse wheels and an upgraded interior add to the package.

he Corvette ZR1-based Bertone Mantide could be making a run at the Corvette ZR1's Nurburgring lap time according to Bertone's chief designer Jason Castriota. The first owner of the $2 million Mantide, British-born financier and "gentleman racer" Dan Watkins is considering making a run at the Corvette ZR1's 7:26.4 Nurburgring lap time and Castriota thinks that goal is obtainable.

Last year uber designer Ugur Sahin released his renderings for a custom coachwork design based on the C6 platform dubbed the Corvette Z03. Cool is the fact that this concept wasn't just an exercise in design. Sahin recently announced a partnership with well-known Corvette tuner Mallet Cars to bring the Z03s to life. Mallet will be offering a couple different power plant options including a 999 horsepower version referenced as the "Twin Turbo Hammer."

Coachbuilder n2a Motors has been dabbling in rebodied Corvettes like the 789 and the Anteros, but we think their latest project dubbed the Stinger is right on! Still in development, n2a just released the latest renderings and model photos of the Stinger, which finds inspiration from the 1963-67 midyear Corvettes.

Here is the new super car project from Stile Bertone that utilizes the chassis of the 2009 Corvette ZR1. This week, the finished Bertone Mantide made its public debut at the Shanghai Motor Show. The distinctly Italian super car features an aggressive look that you'll either love or hate. Interestingly, Bertone keeps the polycarbonate window showcasing the ZR1's 638-hp LS9 which reinforces our belief that its what's inside that counts.

Seems like the coachbuilders love the C6 platform as we've covered at least a half dozen designers announcing plans to utilize the chassis and power train for their new super cars. Lately there has been a lot of buzz surrounding Stile Bertone and designer Jason Castriota's Project M and today it came out that they are indeed using the Corvette ZR1's underpinnings for their sports car.
