The upcoming 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 muscle car will blow an impressive hole in your pocket. But it looks like a good competitor to the most powerful versions of the Mustang, though.
Dodge decided to release their high performance 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT version to a few lucky pre-ordering customers (such as JAY LENO’s New SRT8 Dodge Challenger)!
DUB Magazine got some photos and video coverage of Vehicle Number 11 at the recent DUB Show in Dallas in JR’s Custom Auto display booth.
To commemorate 40 years of Dodge Challanger performance, two new limited versions of Dodge were launched today. Dodge Challenger Furious Fuchsia R/T and Dodge Challenger Furious Fuchsia SRT8. The R/T model comes in Pearl White seats and Brite White A-line body-side R/T stripes.
This is the Saleen 570. It has a 5.7 litre supercharged engine giving up to 700 bhp. 6 speed manual. 20 inch wheels. 14 inch front brakes. 6 piston calipers. Great stuff! It was at Pebble Beach amongst the R8 V10, Veyrons, Fisker, AMG SLR Stirling Moss, Spyker...and it really stood out. The colour just glowed in the daylight.
RDP Motorsport in Ohio have added their own flavor of modifications to the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 and came up with a Twin Supercharged 440 Stroker which they introduced at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in Florida. They have added a plethora of modifications, however the majority of it’s 1000hp is thanks to a one of a kind Twin Bullet / RDP Harrop Supercharger system and a nitrous boosting system from Nitrous Express.

The recent and regular stock Dodge Challenger is such a handsome and mature looking muscle car it’s hard to think of further body modifications that would further accentuate its shape and still look good. The USA Air Force has got 2 new recruitments. They are the Air Force spec Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang. This is an innovative move by the Air Force as a part of the 2009 Supercar tour, a recruiting initiative will hit high schools across the country to highlight career opportunities in the US Air Force.
Speedfactory recently received their first 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, they went straight to work adding a 5.5-lb. supercharger and according to Speedfactory’s dyno results, the 6.1-liter supercharged Hemi V8 delivers 496Hp to the rear wheels, meaning that there should be around 600Hp at the crankshaft!!

Just a few months after Chrysler\222s Challenger Concept came to life, Chip Foose & Unique Performance announced their plans to unveil a limited edition run of a "Foosed up" 1970\222s Plymouth Challenger. Equipped with the iconic Hemi V8 and a 5 speed Auto trans, the Foose (re)designed classic Challenger will be shown to public on June 15th, with production following next month.

Hennessey changed it to a 7.0 liter V8. By adding an extra turbo the Challenger has now an output of 725 bhp and a more than stunning 1016 Nm of torque available at only 4 000 rpm!

JAY took delivery of his Black Challenger SRT8 on Monday, June 2, 2008, in Los Angeles. As you can see in the foreground, Leno also took along his orange/black 1970’s Dodge Challenger.
