Of course there are lots of amazing cars at SpoCom, but no car show is truly complete with out the requisite bikini contest. And SpoCom 2009 did not disappoint...
SpoCom 2009 in Long Beach had one of the largest turnouts of import models that we've seen in quite some time. There were many well-known girls from the tuning scene including Kira Kaye, Lisa Angeline, Miss Genna, Alicia Ann Whitten, Jasmin Pacheco, Christine Mendoza and Jenny Chu.
This past Saturday marked the 3rd annual SpoCom event and like past shows was a true success. With all of the automakers in seemingly dire straits you would think that a segment that thrives on expensive upgrades and often serious customization would be going through tough times. But if you walked around SpoCom 2009 and saw all of the hardcore enthusiasts, car exhibitors and the vendors in attendance, you would truly understand that this is a niche market that is still growing strong.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, the highlight of this year’s International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt/Main, is on display in a stunning gold paint finish at the Dubai International Motor Show. This matt silk finish with the designation “AMG Desert Gold” lends an extraordinary aura to the new super sports car.

The Acura “Advanced Sedan Concept” made its world debut today at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show. Created by Acura’s Los Angeles-based advanced design team, the concept features a modern, powerful exterior while retaining an ultra luxurious feel.
We are just 2 days and 13 hours away from the launch of the BMW X6 M and the BMW X5 M. Nonetheless, BMW reminded us again today (via press release) that the new BMW X6 M will make its stateside debut at the 2009 New York Auto Show next week. Still no word on the X5 M.
