If you lived anywhere near the Raleigh, NC area in late 2008, you may have heard a mysterious and loud blood-curdling scream off in the distance. Yup, that was me when I found out the Audi made the decision to replace their magnificent 4.2-liter, 354 hp V8 engine with a whiny V6 engine producing 333 hp. By whiny, of course I mean supercharged (despite the weird “V6T” badge.) It was love at first exhaust note, me and the V8
Audi just sent out an email to newsletter subscribers to check out the new 2010 S4, which is now featured on their customer-facing AudiUSA.com website.
The A4 is a fantastic vehicle, and serves as a high quality, luxurious and sporty version of a mid-range sedan. The S4, which for 2009 was not updated with the new A4 design, is now part of the new generation, and it looks great.
German tuners MTM have given the Audi S4 and S5 Cabrio enough power to compete with their up-trimmed siblings. Through the use of their M-Cantronic ECU system, MTM has given the two cars – both powered by the 3.0 TFSI V6 engine – 430 horsepower, which is only 10 hp less than the stock Audi RS4’s V8 engine.
Audi and BMW are at it again! This time though, its not the typical Audi A4 Vs BMW 3 Series racing duel but a similar one on billboards between an Audi A4 and the new BMW M3 Coupe (not exactly apples to apples comparison)!
With big SUVs and even smaller crossover SUVs becoming less popular as the price of gas rises (and the economy sinks,) Americans still need a vehicle with enough utility to carry their stuff around, and sedans just don’t hold enough cargo. For example, the 2009 VW Jetta TDI sedan has 16 cubic ft of truck space. Get that same car in the SportWagen edition, and the cargo capacity increases to 67 cubic ft with the rear seats folded down.
Due to high demand in the US for smaller and more fuel efficient engines, Audi says they will be dropping the 3.2-liter V6 from the A3, A4, and TT for the 2010 model year in the States. I happen to like this smooth engine quite a bit, but the numbers show that it might not be worth it. The 2.0T engine offered in the A4 makes only 54 horsepower less power, and gets
Audi gave us some details on the newest addition to the A5 line – the A5 Sportback. The idea here is that the Sportback will be as “emotional and elegant as a coupe, as comfortable as a sedan, and as practical as an Avant.” It will have four doors, which makes me wonder why...
Audi is introducing two new A4 variants, or at least new drivetrains in the current A4. One will ditch the quattro for a front drive only, and another gets a new manual six speed gear box.
This weekend saw the debut of the 4th generation Audi A4 DTM at the season opener at Hockenheim and once again the Audi can celebrate another racing success with a commanding 1-2-3 finish with Mattias Ekström (the Swede BALLER) taking the flag ahead of Timo Scheider and Tom Kristensen in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Finally Audi has taken the initiative and brought their entire line-up of A4 models up to date. Until this year the wagon, and the sedan have had an older look and feel while the Cabriolet models was modernized early on.
To make a championship winning car even better – the Audi Sport engineers and technicians faced this delicate task when the job of developing the DTM race version of the new Audi A4 arose. From the visual aspect they certainly succeeded: The new A4 DTM, which was publicly unveiled for the first time at the Motor Show in Geneva.
When ABT Sportsline starts something, you know it's going to be worth seeing. That especially applies for the new vehicle full-foil, which the famous customiser from the Allgu region now offers. After all, the high-tech synthetic material provides a...
