With more tuners present than a beach has sand, it's hard to separate the good from the bad. We've done it for you. Here's the top 5 tuner-built cars that made an appearance.
Here is the video from the Horrific Macedonian head on collision between the Techart Porsche 911 Turbo and Volkswagen Golf. Please Digg in order to support the cause of this almost covered up tragedy in Macedonia during the 2007 GUMBALL 3000.
Even though smoking hot Brooke Banx looks like a Playboy centerfold she is a shy young lady, and apparently softspoken.
Playboy status or not, she is smoking and comfortable behind the wheel of an AutoGallery Porsche 911 Turbo loaner with her platinum blond hair and a golden tan. Don’t forget to watch the end of the video where the car wash soap goddess should help you have sweet dreams.
Took these at a Porsche dealer in San Francisco. Aesthetically, I don't think the rear wing is big enough. I know it can't be as big as the yet-to-be-released GT3RS, it just seems a bit half hearted. Note the centre lock wheels, a first on a production road car?
I was invited to the Nelson Ledges Raceway in Ohio to test-drive SPI’s latest projects: the Porsche 997 GT2 and Nissan GT-R. Initial laps were treated as a warm-up both for the machines and me, but my pace quickened as I began to rein in all 800 hp from these retuned sports cars.
Porsche has apparently upgraded the 3.6 and 3.8-liter engines to direct injection making 345 hp (+20 hp), 390 Nm torque (+20 Nm) and 385 hp (+30 hp), 420 Nm torque (+20 Nm) respectively.
This is without a doubt the cheaper alternative to buying the 997 and consists of an entirely new front spoiler bumper, two fenders with a racing fuel tank cap, plus an original Porsche parts kit including complete lighting units and headlamps (for vehicles with or without \223Litronic\224). At first sight, it is not possible to tell the 996 apart from the 997.
For some car companies, evolution involves making radical changes at regular intervals to their products in order to maintain their appeal. However, that’s not the way it works at Porsche, whose notoriously fast cars get updated at a notoriously glacial pace, at least in terms of style, even while sometimes major advancements occur under the skin.
Checkout these spy photos of the most likely early Porsche 911 998 test mule. The Porsche911 998 model is planned for delivery on 2011 so it’s still in it’s early development stage. These photos show extended wheel arches, indicating that the Porsche 998 will most likely have a wider track and potentially be bigger than the current Porsche 911 997.
670 whp on 93 octane with 200-cell catalytic converters in place, and a super-smooth curve that gives the car a "Jekyll and Hyde" duality of smooth cruising and easy driving around-town, followed up by Veyron-baiting performance when the nanny-controls are off and the pedals hit the metals.
Compared to the 911 Turbo, this 911 GT2 is recognizable by the missing fog-lights in the front bumper and the huge rear wing as well as a more modest looking front lip-spoiler. Built on the latest 997 platform, this Porsche 911 GT2 was not expected to exist by some industry sources.
Here is a surprise from Germanys sports car maker Porsche. Caught in hot-weather testing in the US southwest are two nearly undisguised prototypes of a restyled Porsche 997 coupe and convertible. The prototypes have completely new headlamps with two lenses (current model has one) inside and a new front bumper. They also have new taillights of different shape and look and also a new rear bumper.
Streetability, high performance, racing inspired, and proven testing are all words to describe the VR825 power package for the 2007 to 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo. With a true bolt-on Garrett turbo kit for the 996 Turbo in our history, we wanted to take the same development, but enhance it 100% ...
Here is great video from Fifth Gear with guest 24 Year old Brazilian Bruno Senna (Ayrton Senna’s Nephew) who test drives the Nissan GT-R vs Porsche 911 Turbo.
Can you guess which car is 0.5 seconds faster around the track? UNREAL!
Porsche tuner Gemballa has released a new body kit and performance handling pack for the 997 911 Targa. To top off the new look, a set of sinister-looking 20-inch black racing rims are included as well as ‘Avalanche GTR 550 Targa’ badging both inside the car and on its rear.
The upcoming Porsche 997 Targa will be available in both Carrera and Carrera S trim versions. The Targa, which was also available in previous generations, has an all-glass roof that can slide backward underneath the rear windshield.
The VR800 Porsche 997 Turbo was able to put some impressive numbers at the Texas Mile. As the fastest 997 Turbo at the 2009 event, the VR800 ran the standing mile in 196mph. With a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a 60-130 time of 6.33 seconds, the Porsche was well respected by enthusiasts, competitors, and spectators alike.

With the GT3076rs turbos, we needed to get more air in then just the flow pattern change. We developed this high flow intake plenum that works with the larger Cayenne TT throttle body. In addition to the plenum upgrade, for maximum power with our drag tests and 60-130mph tests, we developed some straight pipes which delete the cats and muffler
